This statement describes how Urbanstreet AG handles personal data when operating www.urbanstreet.ch. It follows the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) of 25 September 2020 and its ordinance.

1. Controller

Urbanstreet AG has not appointed a data protection adviser under Article 10 FADP; such an appointment is voluntary for private controllers.

2. Principle

This website is deliberately built to minimise data. It contains no contact forms, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising networks, no social media plug-ins and no third-party embeds such as font, map or video services. All fonts, images, films and scripts are served from our own server. No cookies requiring consent are set.

3. Data arising from your visit

When you open a page, your browser transmits technically necessary information which is recorded in server logs:

truncated or full IP address of the requesting device
date and time of the request
address requested and volume of data transferred
response status code
browser type, browser version and operating system
where applicable, the previously visited page

This processing is necessary for operation, security and defence against attacks and is based on our overriding interest in the secure and stable operation of the website. The data is not merged with other sources and is not used to build usage profiles.

4. Hosting and processing on our behalf

The website runs on the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare operates a global network and serves the site from the location closest to your device; for requests from Switzerland and Europe this is normally within Europe. Cloudflare acts as a processor and handles the data listed under section 3 on our behalf, including defence against overload and abuse attacks.

This may involve disclosure of personal data to the United States. In the assessment of the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, the United States provides adequate data protection for companies certified under the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework; contractual safeguards based on standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

5. Contact by e-mail and telephone

If you write or call, we process your details — name, contact data and the content of your message — in order to answer your enquiry and to initiate or perform a contractual relationship. Business correspondence is retained for ten years in accordance with Article 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations. Unencrypted e-mail is not a secure channel; for confidential documents we are happy to agree a protected route.

6. Retention

Server logs are deleted or anonymised after 30 days at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident. Other personal data is retained only as long as the purpose of processing or a statutory obligation requires.

7. Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is passed on only where this is necessary to provide our services, where you have consented, or where we are legally obliged to do so. Within projects, information may reach the planners, contractors and authorities involved; we limit this to what is necessary.

8. Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law you have the right

to request information about the personal data we process (Article 25 FADP),
to have inaccurate data corrected,
to request deletion or destruction of data,
to object to processing,
and to request the release or transfer of your data (Article 28 FADP).

Please address your request to [email protected]. We may ask for proof of identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Bern.

9. Changes

We will amend this statement if the processing of personal data changes. The version published on this page at the relevant time applies.
